HOW WE MAKE THEM:
Mexican Sarapes are all hand woven in
little work shops by small Mexican Family Businesses. It is very
exiting to visit these workshops where they hand weave these
colourful pieces of Mexican Art. Our Sarapes come from the Family
Nava Xolocotzi. They hand weave our Sarapes in a machine called
"Telar" using a pedal with their foot they pedal the machine and
pass the wood bar from one side to the other simultaneously they
change the colour of the twine to make the stripes and as a result
they make a beautiful high quality Large Mexican Sarape for your
home.
