careful with buttons, earrings, rings and watches when you are in your
hammock; they could snag on your hammock and you may break a thread when
pulled, if this happens, grab both ends and tie back together. If is a Nylon
hammock burn the ends so it does not fray.
If you purchase
a Nylon
or Hemp
hammock it will tolerate climate changes better than a cotton hammock.
Cotton fades over the
time
if left outside.
But If you want your hammock to last for a long period of time
either nylon,
cotton or hemp hammocks
put your hammock inside of you
house when you are not using it so then it will last for years.
Always ensure your hammock is complete dry before storage.
If
you live by the sea rinse your hammock regularly to minimize the effects of
the salt
When storing
just make a knot close to the loops to avoid tangling. Fold the hammock then
wrap the hammock with its nylon rope.
To
wash the hammock, make a knot close to the loops, swish it around in a
bucket with warm water and soap and live it there for two hours.
Rinse and dry
before store it.
